The Society was inaugurated 75 years ago and has been operated for the benefit of those involved and who serve the property industry. Membership is varied and includes Valuers, Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, Estate Agents, Solicitors, Architects, Accountants, Developers, Investors and other professional organisations.

The original concept was to foster closer communications with kindred professional bodies and companies actively engaged in the property industry by holding regular golf days at some of the top golf courses located, primarily, in the Home and South Eastern Counties. It was also considered to be a perfect way to meet and promote business in a relaxed way. Happily, this ethos continues to this day and applications for membership are welcome.

The Society also participates in a number of matches where our opponents, to name but a few are: The Chartered Surveyors Golf Society, The Law Society and the Valuation Office. Our Meetings and Matches are held between April and October each year. The Society is loyally served by Latchmere Properties Ltd, a development company based in Dorking, where the society’s administration is based.
